anyone actually win at roulette long term or just short lucky streaks

been spinning that wheel for decades now, both online and at the real tables, and i keep hearing about the rare unicorns who supposedly beat roulette for the long haul. not talking about that quick burst when you hit your numbers on a good night, i mean regular withdrawals over months or years. i just don't see how folks are getting past the house edge unless they're either quitting while ahead or going for those super risky martingale-type bets and catching a crazy streak. variance can stretch out a lucky run, but it always seems to snap back sooner or later.
