Double zero tables bad?
so i keep seeing double zero wheels at pretty much every casino i go to lately. honestly throws me off. feels like it just stacks the odds against you way harder than single zero, but maybe i’m missing something. i usually stick to poker and blackjack where at least i feel like i have some control or edge hunting, but sometimes the group wants to play roulette for the “fun” factor. i always check for the single zero but my buddies don’t care, they just wanna put chips down wherever.
i mean, from a math angle, the house edge on double zero is pretty brutal compared to euro style, right? not like blackjack where at least you can chip away at it with solid play and bonus chasing. am i being too much of a stickler? anyone here actually prefer double zero for any reason, or is it just something you tolerate because it’s everywhere in the states now?
