double zero is enough reason for me to leave

the extra pocket is enough for me to skip a double zero table. the house edge is already there, and 00 makes it worse, especially when i'm putting $10 on an outside bet. straight numbers are worse over time too. last month i had about 300 with me at one table and 00 came up 3 times in around 35 spins (not much to go on, but still). i know that can happen on any wheel, but seeing it three times that quickly put me off staying there. if the only roulette they have is double zero, i'll keep the 300 and look for something else. single zero is bad enough for my money, and i don't see a reason to give up the extra edge.

00 three times in 35 spins would've done it for me too. Keeping the 300 is the move.

if there’s a single-zero table available, the double-zero one’s an easy pass. single zero still has the house edge, but the odds are better, and that extra pocket hits outside bets just as surely as straight numbers. three 00s in 35 spins is a rotten run, but it can happen on any wheel.

it doesn’t tell you much about that one. the built-in edge is there every spin, so that’s enough reason to keep the $300 if all they’ve got is double zero.

Single zeros are rare here

The extra pocket matters more than three 00s in 35 spins. I once stayed at a double-zero table waiting for the wheel to turn around and regretted not moving sooner (that was the mistake, not the run of 00s).
