column chase bad?

never really understood why people think the column chase is solid. there’s this idea floating around that just picking a column and martingaling after losses til you hit is somehow less risky than other progressions. feels like people just see the 2 to 1 payout and think the math changes. market is still pricing all outcomes the same, right? table limits will always cap you out eventually and the green zero just lurks to kill any “guaranteed” strat.

most of the folks i see on streams get maybe two or three wins and then hit a big string of losses that wipes the profit and more. seems like it’s just like flat betting long enough, you hit the house edge either way. anyone actually track sessions long-term on this? i don’t really buy the hype, but curious if there’s an angle i’m missing or if everyone else just ignores the grind. am i missing some edge to it?

You’re not missing anything. Column chase in crypto casinos is just martingale wearing a different shirt.
