dozens vs columns?

so i've been bouncing between dozens and columns lately trying to land on a steady strategy. i usually play low units and keep my session budgets tight. dozens seem cleaner to me because i can adjust bet sizing quick and sometimes toss a chip on two if i'm feeling spicy. but with columns, i feel like the payouts hit me at just the right psychological time, and i like how you can kinda chase trends on the wheel. i swear though, every time i get cocky and load up on one, the ball finds the other zone.

i read somewhere columns might have more repeaters than dozens, but honestly my head spins after too many spins to really track it live. i just want to not feel like i'm leaking value with every bet. i never go all in or anything wild, just small bumps. has anyone here noticed real difference sticking with columns versus dozens long run, or is it mostly in my head?

I screwed this up for months on online casinos, thought columns were “running” on a live dealer stream and kept topping up one more unit. Only thing i learned is columns make me overclick worse, dozens keep me patient, and patience compounds if you let it...

Mostly in your head. I did the dull thing and tracked a few hundred spins in classic roulette on the back of a receipt during a long dealer shift, same way I keep poker notes, and columns did not show me some magic repeater behavior at all. What changed was my own bad habit of bumping stakes after two near-misses. I stick with dozens because tossing a small straight number on top is cleaner. That’s it!!!

Back of a receipt is EXACTLY the kind of roulette bookkeeping that ends with coffee stains and one bad stake bump too many.

Coffee stains arent the issue, its the receipt. Those skinny thermal slips are CURSED for bad math.

Receipt or not, the stain isn’t the problem. The assumption that columns “repeat” more is the bad part. They’re the same 12-number hit rate as dozens, just laid out prettier. Not Blackjack, where composition matters. Roulette doesn’t care what shape your note paper is.

Yeah, maybe a tiny counterpoint, on live dealer columns can FEEL better just because i can read the layout faster than auto roulette and my bet size stays sane, but long run i never saw a real edge either way. Dozens are cleaner, columns just mess with your head a little different, that's it

Columns always drag me into one more bet on live dealer, and that is sooo much worse than any fake edge

Bonus is the only time I get salty enough to care which studio it is lol, half these online casinos slap the same wheel under 3 different labels and suddenly the wagering is uglier. You talking an actual live casino studio promo or just a site bonus tied to auto roulette, and did the game latency feel off on that one too
