roulette table showed french rules but took full zero loss, support says table variant.

saw something weird at the roulette table last night. the layout was all in french, it even had the la partage sign, but when the ball hit zero, my even money bets got fully scooped. chatted support and they just said “that’s this variant” but didn’t actually explain which one. this kind of thing bugs me because i always try to look for decent rules, not just pretty words on the felt.

anyone else get hit with this? i know roulette isn’t the sharpest edge, but if they’re showing la partage and not applying it, feels like a bait. like, either change the felt or just own up. am i missing something obvious or is this just typical casino runaround?
