roulette table said french layout but no la partage rule showed anywhere

So I sat down at a table clearly marked as “French layout” with all the bets you’d expect, but I didn’t see any info about la partage. No signs, dealers didn’t mention it, and when I asked they just shrugged and pointed to the felt. Kind of made me wonder if I was missing something, or if the rule just doesn’t apply unless they specifically advertise it? I usually focus on blackjack so roulette rules aren’t my strong suit. Anyone here know if “French layout” always means la partage, or is that just the style of the table?

Maybe, but french layout is usually just the felt. Crypto casinos pull that a lot.

Nah lol this is the part that bugs me: if they can’t say “la partage” or “en prison” out loud, then i’m not giving them the benefit of the doubt just because the felt looks fancy. Live dealer tables pull this vague crap all the time and then act confused when you ask about the actual zero rule lmao. From my own play, if it isn’t in the game info/rules panel, it effectively does not exist. “french layout” by itself means basically nothing to me. Did the results screen or side menu show a zero rule anywhere, or was it all just branding?
