So I was playing a few hands tonight and one round got super weird. Dealer turned up a six, hit a few cards, then flipped over a bust with 23 on the screen. Game history updates a second later and it says push. For a second I thought my eyes just glitched but I had a screenshot and it for sure showed 23 before it switched. The hand had no split or double, just basic play. Has this ever happened to anyone else? The weird part is the chat just filled up with a couple of “wtf”s and then nothing. Support says it’s “resolved as intended” but that doesn’t explain why the dealer’s hand went from bust to push. I don’t always get suspicious but I’m not the most trusting guy when the screen literally changes after a result. Starting to wonder if it’s just a software hiccup or something deeper. Wondering if I should even keep bothering with live blackjack for now. Anyone see similar glitches before or am I just hyper-fixating on a fluke?

No signs, dealers didn’t mention it, and when I asked they just shrugged and pointed to the felt. Ran into another brutal set over set in a $1/$2 cash game and it's honestly messing with my head a bit. Had pocket eights on a dry board, guy calls my raise pre, turn comes and I catch the third eight, feel like I'm finally due for something nice. He slowplays his nines like a pro and, of course, I'm stacking off before I even realize it. Just stone dead unless I somehow fold top set, but I don’t see it happening. People say it balances out long run but I swear these cold decks show up on a schedule for me. Been here before, and yeah, I get it, variance and all. Still, anyone actually manage to shrug these off or do you start seeing monsters every time you flop a set? How do you reset your brain after a session like this?

outside bets boring

Every time I play roulette with friends, I notice almost everyone goes straight for the outside bets. They say it’s “safer” and stick to red/black or odd/even all night. I get that the chances are better on those but man, it feels like you’re just watching your chips move back and forth without any real excitement. Maybe I’m just too used to the swings in blackjack but I can’t help feeling outside bets are missing the real thrill of the table. Does anyone actually enjoy these in the long run or are they just in it to stretch their time at the wheel? I’m not trying to chase big losses but I can’t see myself parking on red for hours and having any fun. Am I missing something in the appeal or is it just a “play safe, stay longer” kind of deal?
