Roulette surrender rules: does any site actually offer this

so i keep hearing about this “surrender” rule in roulette that’s supposed to cut the house edge a little, like if zero hits you get half your even money bet back. i know it’s common for some blackjack games but i’ve literally never seen a roulette table with it, online or in-person. i even checked some of those obscure euro software providers, no luck. is this just one of those old myths or a super rare rule only a handful of vip rooms bother with?

i’ve read about en prison, which sounds similar but not quite the same, since it holds your bet instead of refunding half. every online roulette i’ve played just takes your even bets straight up if zero hits, no mercy. i figured if anyone would know, it’s people here who jump from platform to platform or maybe get insider info from live rooms. would really help to know if there’s a legit roulette surrender rule anywhere or if it’s all just blog talk and hearsay. looking to trim that edge where i can but don’t wanna chase a ghost rule.

from a risk_management angle, obsessing over rare surrender rules can distract from steady bankroll discipline, especially when most sites prioritize classic roulette. i haven’t seen surrender offered anywhere credible, so sharpening session limits usually brings more value than hunting a unicorn rule.

En prison is real at some French wheels but actual surrender (half-back on zero) in roulette is nearly extinct online, unlike late surrender in blackjack. Hunting for it will waste more bankroll than it’ll ever save.
