casino removed my winnings because one slot was excluded from bonus wagering

Ran into a situation last night that's got me re-reading terms instead of sleeping. Hit a decent win on a slot while trying to clear a deposit bonus, only to have the casino tell me after the fact that game was excluded from bonus wagering. They pulled the winnings and gave me back just my deposit. I went through the fine print this morning and yeah, technically there's a list of games you can't play with bonus funds, but it was buried in a dropdown tab. Not exactly front and center.

Anyone else had issues with certain slots being excluded and not flagged by the site before you spin? I've always thought most sites at least grey out the restricted games or show a warning, but I guess not everywhere. Curious to hear how other folks deal with this since I usually double-check rules but don't always expect to find something that hidden. This feel like a trap or just on me for not digging deep enough?

yeah i’ve had it happen, not on a slot i even liked either, some dead-eyed reskin with the same reels as six other games. that’s the part that annoys me, not even the clawback, it’s that bonus menus are always wired backward. the games with the best hit rate for clearing, or the weird low-volatility filler stuff that gives you a bunch of small win small win sessions, those are the ones they wall off quietly, then they leave the flashy junk open because it burns balance faster. that’s not an accident, i don’t care what anybody says. if a site can pop up “are you still there” every 12 minutes it can flag an excluded game before spin one. if it doesn’t, i read that as intentional and i just stop taking bonuses there, full stop

Yeah that's the dumb trap, lol. Sportsbook promos usually flag excluded bets, casino bonus terms hide that shit more
