played same slot on two casinos and one says different max bet during bonus

I just ran into a weird thing tonight - spun up the same slot on two different sites, everything was exactly the same except when I landed the bonus on one, it told me my max bet for free spins was 2 bucks, but the other site let me hit 5 per spin. Only difference I noticed was the little info popups had slightly different wording about the bonus round. RTP and volatility both matched. No idea if it’s the casino settings or some side deal with the software guys or what.

Has anybody else seen this? Not talking about different countries or anything - my accounts are both local, verified, all that stuff. Now I’m kind of paranoid about bonus rounds in general. I usually stick to smaller bets, but now I’m thinking if you get a feature hit, the site could just limit you in the middle of it. Do you guys check for this before playing? Wondering how common it actually is or if I just caught some oddball glitch.
