Slot RTP: do casinos actually tell the truth or is it all inflated numbers.

Every time I see a slot listing with a supposed 96% RTP, I always wonder if it’s just marketing speak. I mean, sure, that’s the theoretical payout if you spin literally millions of times, but does anyone here actually feel like it matches up with real play? Maybe I’m just running cold, but sometimes those numbers seem way off. Also, is there really any way for us to check the actual payout other than trusting what they post?

I know the licensing bodies are supposed to check this stuff, but does anyone have stories where the actual returns felt totally different from the listed ones? Or is that just variance doing its thing? Curious to hear if anyone has tracked their own play or knows how these numbers actually get verified. Does anyone trust the stated RTP, or do you just take it with a grain of salt?

I trust stated RTP about as much as the casino’s claim of a “hot streak”. Over a small sample you’re just living inside variance, not game theory.

I trust the posted RTP a bit more when the casino gets third-party audits, but my bankroll strategy never assumes those numbers play out session by session. Have you ever seen sites using outdated game software where wins seem stuck on low multipliers for days?

Stated RTP only means something if the software isn't glitchy or freezing mid-spin, which I've seen happen on some lesser-known online casinos. Ever tried tracking your session returns by using demo mode first then real money to spot weird drops?
