sportsbook asked kyc only after i tried withdraw from a tennis win
Had a nice little win on a tennis underdog and right after I put in for a withdrawal, the sportsbook hits me up with KYC. Never asked for anything during deposit or while betting, just when I want my money out. Supposed to be a crypto site too, so it threw me off. I get the reasoning around regulations and anti-fraud stuff, but the timing is sketchy every time.
Do they really care about compliance, or is it just about making things harder to cash out when people actually win? Anybody else seen this pattern where it's all smooth until you actually try to withdraw? I don't even mind some basic ID stuff, just feels like it's never about my safety. Makes me double-think where I'm parking my crypto next time.
