so i'm playing this knockout tourney, and the player i'm up against disconnects right as i get him all-in. i win the hand, see his chips in my stack, but no bounty gets credited. i refresh thinking maybe it's just a lag thing, but still nothing shows up. checked the lobby, nothing there either. it's one of those times where i wonder if the system glitches when people disconnect at the wrong moment. i guess it could be just bad timing, but feels like i've seen something similar before. i know poker sites have hiccups, especially when the table's running hot, but how long would you guys wait before raising a ticket? has anyone else had this kind of bounty vanish during a disconnect or is this just my classic unlucky streak acting up again?

sat down for what looked like a solid 1/2 game, table's full, drinks flowing, then bam - within an hour, two shortstacks bust and everyone else just racks up and leaves. felt like i barely got my feet under the table and now i’m stuck doing the awkward “should i follow them or wander the pits” routine. always feels like just as i start reading the table, someone flips the switch and it’s done. anybody else feel like this happens more since everything’s about fast action now? maybe roulette is calling my name again...

so last night at the tables i tried splitting 8s for the third time and the dealer just gave me this look like i’d asked him to swap shirts. turns out the house only lets you split pairs up to 3 times which i had completely forgotten about… honestly never thought it’d come up for me. i always thought the split rule was the same everywhere, like you could just keep splitting as long as you get the same card. nope, not at this joint. maybe my memory is just mashed from all the second-hand smoke in there or i’m mixing up what i’ve seen online with real life rules. anyway, i figured i’d ask here, do most places cap how many times you can split or did i just stumble into a weird house rule? anyone ever get turned down for splitting more than twice or is that just my luck chasing pairs on a cold streak?
