The risk setting reshuffles where the payouts land, not the rtp. On high risk the 1000x slot barely catches any drops, so small bets drain while you wait on a real hit.
hey everyone, I keep hearing closing line value talked about like it's the only number that means anything, and I'm getting tired of people acting like every bet is either genius or trash based on where it closes. I get why it matters. If I bet -3 and it closes -4.5, that's better than chasing the worse number. Nobody needs that explained. But some people talk like if you're beating close you're automatically doing everything right, even when the ticket still keeps dying on you week after week. What annoys me is how this turns into grinder talk real fast. A guy can go 3-9 and still tell you he's crushing because he got CLV. At some point money has to matter more than a screenshot of a line move. I'm betting to win, not to collect proof I was early. And books aren't even all moving the same way all the time. One place hangs a bad number, another one moves on air, and then everyone pretends the close is some perfect final exam score. It isn't that clean. I've had plenty where I got the best of it and lost, and plenty where I took a bad number and still cashed. I know one bet proves nothing, but people act like CLV wipes out every other part of handicapping, matchup read, injuries, timing, all of it. Anyone know where you draw the line between CLV being useful and CLV being the only thing people lean on because it sounds sharp? I use it, I track it, I just don't buy that it's the only stat that matters unless you're trying to win an argument instead of money
Barely any. It's a SCRIPT and a timer.
Recovery speed is real but half the time the guy just tightens up after a break anyway.
I agree, that max win number is starting to feel more like advertising than anything useful for knowing how a game plays. I had a couple of the older 10,000x ones where the bonuses weren’t huge, but at least they seemed to give you a bit more back across a session. The new high-volatility ones can leave you sitting through a lot of dead spins for one bonus that barely moves the balance (I’ve had that happen more than once). I’d take a 10,000x ceiling with bonuses that return something more often over chasing a six-figure cap through those long dry stretches. The cap looks impressive on the game page, but doesn’t tell me much about what the middle of the game feels like.
For me it's MMA and it's not close. Any sport where one hit can wipe out the better side is already bad enough, then you add judging and weird late money and the odds get messy fast. I can look at football or basketball lines and at least see what they're hanging it off. With MMA I see a guy open -180, drift to -140, then close back up for no clear reason except people chasing narratives... Prop market is even worse there. Method of victory, rounds, decision no bet, all of it swings around off tiny bits of info and half of it is rumor level info dressed up like sharp action. Tennis is up there too, but MMA is still the one where I trust the number the least. The line can look right on paper and still be nowhere near what the fight turns into once it starts
Is there any slot where the bonus buy isn't just burning money? I'm at the point where I'm done with them. I can spin for $0.60 and at least get some play, then the buy is $60 or $80 and it lands like total TRASH. Not even a tease, just dead bonus after dead bonus. What annoys me is 1) the price is always dressed up like it's giving you a shortcut, 2) the hit rate never matches what it looks like on the screen, and 3) when it does pay it's still usually under the buy. I've had too many where a $100 buy comes back $18 (yes, really). I'm not asking for max win every time, but if the feature is that bad I don't get why casinos push it so hard on crypto sites. Right now it just looks like a faster way to torch a balance and I'm sick of seeing it shoved in my face every slot I open
Sitting out makes sense if the likely starters or the coach’s changes are hard to read. These teams may have had little time to get their attacking play settled, so those 19 shots or club form don’t tell you much about the total. The late team news alone can wreck draw no bet.
