Dealer blackjack peek?

so here’s one for the blackjack regulars. when you’re playing live dealer, do you always trust the “peek” for blackjack? like when the dealer checks their hole card for ace or ten to see if it’s blackjack before letting you hit or double. sometimes i notice there’s a bit of a pause or even a camera glitch and i start getting that weird feeling in my stomach. maybe it’s just my overactive roulette brain but i swear technology has its own sense of humor and it loves messing with gamblers.

like, are there any actual stories out there where the peek didn’t work right? or am i the only paranoid one unplugging my toaster before watching a stream? my buddy swears it’s all automated now and there’s no way a dealer or the casino could mess it up, but then you hear those rare tales where something slips through the cracks. i mean, what’s the backup plan if the tech goes weird mid-hand? i keep wondering if i should just stick to games with less “surprise” factor. blackjack peeks remind me a little of those roulette wheels that look just slightly off center. probably nothing, but it’s enough to keep my paperclip stash close.

Honestly i trust the peek less than the rule sheet lol, crypto casinos love sneaking weird table settings in there. When that pause happens, does your hand history log the peek check time anywhere or just dump the result after, bc thats the part thats OFF to me

Honestly the peek isn’t even the part that bugs me, it’s these live blackjack promos that dangle “20% reload” then void the hand if the table hiccups for 2 seconds. I had a split get excluded from wagering once, $200 counted as zero, that’s the real scammy bit there

"all automated" lol, poker rooms said that too, then multi-camera view still desyncs
