Soft 19 play?

so i get hit with this soft 19 vs dealer 6 question every time i play at the local spot, especially with these promo chips they hand out. like, i know the math says double down but watching folks at the table lose their minds when you don’t just stand is half the entertainment. sometimes it feels like the risk ain’t worth it when i’m grinding long sessions, but then i wonder if i’m just letting the crowd get to me.

anybody here stick to doubling on these or do you go by gut and just stand? what’s your reasoning, especially when you’re working through a promo?
