H17 table trap?

So I keep noticing that in a lot of crypto live dealer blackjack rooms, the tables are almost all H17 - dealer hits on soft 17. It's bugging me because I know H17 adds a bit to the house edge compared to S17, but I'm trying to figure out if it's actually that big of a deal in the grand scheme. I've only been playing for a couple months, mostly for the promos and the chance to get comped in crypto, so I’m not going ultra hardcore. Still, it feels like a sneaky way to eat away at your stack, especially when chasing those little bonus missions.

Is anyone actually avoiding H17 tables completely, or do you just grind through and make up for the difference with bonus hunts or whatever? Sometimes I feel like I’m overthinking it, but maybe not. I’m curious - do the little rules like H17, doubling after splits, etc., actually change your approach or are you just sticking with your process regardless?

Yeah I’d avoid H17 if there’s an S17 option at the same table limits, since those little rule differences add up over time.

H17 is a small edge hit, but I’d still pick S17 when everything else is equal 😂
