basic strategy with h17?

Was running sims for a few blackjack hands last night with H17 rules and the basic charts started looking a little weird. Couple of hands like soft 18 vs dealer 9 or 10 - chart says one thing, my gut says another. Maybe I’m second guessing because every table I see now has some slight twist on the rules. Is the standard basic strategy actually off here or am I just being too picky? Feels like tiny rule tweaks mess with my head more than the actual odds do. Curious how others adjust, especially if you bounce between live and crypto tables.

sure, the charts can look wrong at first glance, but your gut is usually the part lying to you. h17 shifts enough hands that “standard” basic gets off by a hair, and soft 18 is exactly where people start donating chips 😊

H17 at a $25 min single deck is the one that gets me. That little rule twist eats more than people THINK.

Single deck H17 at $25 is sooo where "good rules" go to die lol, especially no DAS hiding in there. Promo chip spots soften the sting a hair.

Online casino single-deck H17/no DAS is where I start modeling pain as a distribution, lol. I bailed to plain 6-deck after one dumb soft 18 spiral 😅

Nah, single-deck h17 at $25 is sooo where i get salty too. House edge jumps about 0.2% and soft 18 starts feeling like a bad chair squeak

What messed me up wasn't even h17, it was bouncing back from roulette and thinking my gut was seeing patterns, then carrying that garbage into blackjack. I used to play soft 18 too cute on vegas strip blackjack, got it wrong plenty, the chart is usually less stupid than your mood is
