anyone ever successfully appealed a bonus that was forfeited?

so i had a reload bonus locked in, hit a mini heater but got a bit loose and let my balance drop too far. next thing you know, bonus gets yanked for not keeping up with the terms. i pinged support but all i got was the copy paste rulebook. figured it was tuition paid but i keep hearing stories where folks push back and actually get the bonus reinstated or some sort of goodwill offer, especially if you've played a ton before.

is that pure myth or have any of you actually managed to get a promo reversed after the system ate it? not talking about small glitches either, just regular user error or timing out.
