got free spins but winnings are locked?? how does that even work

So I got a batch of free spins last night, and figured I'd mess around a bit just to see. Ended up hitting a small win but apparently I can’t touch it yet - it’s stuck somewhere in the “locked balance.” I read through the terms and I guess there's a wager requirement? But it's written in that classic, confusing way that makes you feel like you’re missing something important.

I’ve played around with bonuses before but mostly in blackjack, where the rules at least made some sense. The slot bonuses are a whole other mess. I don’t even know if my winnings from the spins go towards the wagering, or if that only counts once it moves to the main balance. It seems like the more you try to keep track of these promo deals, the more moving parts you find. Anyone else had this locked balance thing happen when messing with free spins?
