played hilo with bonus funds and win cap hit before i even tried withdraw

so i took a bonus on my deposit, figured i’d mess around with hilo because i wanted something quick before blackjack opened up, but apparently i smacked into the win cap already even though i didn’t even try to cash out. i always thought you only hit that cap at withdrawal, not while actually playing. now it just tells me i reached the max bonus win and cuts off any extra winnings - didn’t expect it to work like that at all.

maybe i missed something in the terms, but has anyone else run into this? does it just lock your balance right away or am i totally out of luck with playing it further? curious if this only happens on some games or if it’s across the board.
