live blackjack seat said available but every click just reserved balance and failed

kept seeing a free seat at live blackjack tonight, clicked to join and every time it just spun a bit, locked up my balance for like a minute, then said connection failed or table full or some random error. tried three different tables with the same thing, seat looked open but wouldn’t actually let me in, and every failed try just kept holding a chunk of my balance before giving it back. lost a solid ten minutes plus almost missed a good slot bonus chasing that “open” seat lol. didn’t look like lag on my end, streams all fine, other live tables loaded no problem.

has anyone else had this issue with seats getting “ghost reserved” or something? wonder if it's system lag or if they just leave ghost seats on purpose to keep people clicking. curious what everyone thinks, glitch or on purpose?

I've had something similar happen on Gamdom once, but the balance hold disappeared after about 30 seconds. Live table seating across sites like Stake and Bet365 can get pretty weird when they're busy.

Bet365 gets weird busy, sure, but that temp balance hold is the tell. Annoying.

I don’t buy the “on purpose to keep you clicking” part, tbh. That sounds way too clever for most online casinos. Usually it’s a trash wallet/auth sync where the seat UI says one thing and cashier says another, so you get a temp hold and a fail. I’ve seen this more on mobile than desktop, especially with live stuff even when the HD stream looks fine. Were you on Wi‑Fi or cell, and did the reserved amount match the table min exactly?
