i need to stop playing every suited connector i see

Man, I’m starting to notice I’m bleeding chips just by always limping or even raising with suited connectors, no matter my position or who’s at the table. It feels like I’m forcing these hands to be something they’re not, just because I got used to hunting big draws or hoping for that movie-style straight flush. Sometimes I’ll look down at like 6-7 suited and just convince myself it’s gold - then get absolutely nothing, or worse, pay to see a flop that does me no good.

I’m not new to playing gut feelings from years of slots and hoping for a rush, but poker’s a whole different animal, and these losses add up. My rational brain keeps saying these little hands are more fun than they’re worth, but they’re just so tempting when you’re bored or card dead.

Anyone else have this itch to play every suited connector? How do you actually stick to just folding the weak ones, especially live when every pot feels like “it could be the one”?

6-7 suited always looks prettier than it plays. Annoys me because i still talk myself into it too.

6-7 suited is the exact hand that talks big and shows up empty. Seen that movie enough.
