Back to Roulette

why some roulette dealers rush the betting way too much?

Is it just me or do some roulette dealers really seem to slam through the bets way faster than necessary? Like, I get that the casino wants to get more spins in an hour, but sometimes it feels like you barely get your chips on the layout before “no more bets” is called. Not sure if it's just certain shifts, or if the pit bosses are pushing them, but it kind of takes the fun out of the rhythm, especially for folks who like to watch the wheel and think before putting chips down. I mostly stick to blackjack, but I jump over to roulette now and then for a break, and I definitely notice the difference.

Back when I was new, I thought it was maybe some kind of dealer strategy, but the more I watch, the more it looks like a time management thing. Anyone else run into this? I rearranged my seat at the table once to see if it helped, but didn’t notice much change in the pace.
