casino voided free spins win because i opened the game from search not promo page

Has anyone else had a casino refuse a free spins win because you launched the slot from the search bar instead of clicking through the actual promo link? That just happened to me, and I’m feeling pretty annoyed. The spins were clearly credited to my account, I played them out, saw the bonus balance tick up, then support tells me I did it “wrong” by not starting from their promo page. No big warning, no popup, nothing.

Feels kind of sketchy since it’s not like I tried to game the system, just muscle memory took over and I typed the name in. I’ve never had this come up on live dealer or blackjack bonuses, always just used whatever route to get to the table and the bets count. Are slots just more picky, or is this a new trick to keep from paying out? Anyone have experience with getting them to pay out if you push back a bit?

Yeah, and imo it’s less “slots are picky” than promos being run by crusty backend rules nobody bothers to explain. What gets me salty is they’ll happily show the bonus balance climbing in real time, then suddenly act like the ledger is sacred when cashout time comes. I learned this the annoying way after a gamble feature hit on promo spins and they hid behind “invalid sequence.” Since then I screenshot everything. Stingy and wasteful behavior, tbh.

That gamble feature bit, lol. Had one bonus round do that and poof, GONE.

lolll if their ledger is sooo sacred, why’s blackjack never doing this cute little identity crisis when a bonus hand is opened from a diff lobby path. jasmine, did they show the free spins under bonus history with a game id first, then pretend the launch source mattered after the hit?

Yeah maybe slots are pickier, but this sounds like busted promo tracking more than you doing anything "wrong". I’ve seen bonus sessions tag only off the promo launch token on mobile slots, search opens a clean game session, then they hide behind unclear bonus terms when it hits money

I’d definitely check the exact wording of the free-spin terms. That detail should be made really obvious.

"muscle memory" yeah, slots promos love that trap, free spins get tagged by entry path all the time

Oh that’d light me up lol. That’s promo lawyer nonsense, not “you did it wrong.” If the free spins were credited, the slot should be tagged either way. I got clipped once on a max bet/free spins combo after opening through search out of pure habit, and support acted like I hacked Fort Knox lmao. Slots promos are where they hide the weasel wording. I’m salty because this is exactly why I treat not betting their cute promo as a win.
