parlay leg voided

Had one leg on my 4-team parlay get voided today and now I’m annoyed and confused. It was soccer and I guess a player wasn’t named in the lineup, so the bet got scrapped. I’m used to my roulette wheel not caring who’s playing, but this just feels wonky. The payout got reworked for a 3-leg, which killed the big odds I was aiming for.

This can’t be right, can it? Does every sportsbook handle it this way, just dropping the leg and adjusting the odds? I don’t really keep up with these rule changes since I stick to my slots and spin strategies, but I feel like this gives them an easy way out. At least if the roulette ball jumped off the table, they’d redo the spin, not just pretend there was one less number.

Just seeing if anyone else actually builds their parlay thinking about which legs might get voided or if you all just take the risk and hope nothing messes with the slip.
