esports map bet settled wrong after the map got changed last minute

Had a weird one yesterday with an esports map bet. Placed a wager on map 2 after checking the schedule, odds looked decent and I liked how the teams lined up for that one. Then, about ten minutes before the match, they swap out map 2 for a totally different map because of some technical thing. Live chat just keeps saying “your bet stands” like nothing happened. When it finally settled, they paid it based on the new map, not the one I picked for the match up.

I've seen sites void bets if teams or players change last minute, but didn’t expect this for a map swap. To me that’s not what I bet on - that’s like booking a table for blackjack, then getting forced onto roulette when you show up. I get there are rules, but if the map changes before it even starts, shouldn’t that count for something? Has anyone else run into this? Curious how others would approach arguing this with support.

yeah, that should count. the whole price on map 2 is tied to that specific pool, not some late replacement. same rot i see in live dealer when they act like a table change is nothing. support will play dumb first, every time.

Maybe by their rules, sure, but lmao I'd push for voiding it hard.
