soccer bet voided because venue changed but teams still played same day

Had a soccer bet voided today and I'm pretty sure it's because they switched the stadium last minute, even though both teams still played and it kicked off the same day. Not even a different city, just across town. The bet would’ve hit too, which is peak comedy. I get the logic, maybe there’s some wild home/away stats or whatever, but come on - does anyone actually see that much of a difference if it’s still the same teams, same day, and barely even a different pitch?

This isn’t the first time this has happened to me and I feel like it’s always with soccer, never other sports. Made me question if I should be adding “venue changes” as another column on the endless spreadsheets. Feels like overkill until stuff like this burns me. Do other sportsbooks have different rules about this, or is it just a universal thing and I should expect more bets to get voided every time there’s a minor change?

Yeah, venue matters on paper, home side loses some edge, maybe a point on the margin of victory. Still hate this stuff, they never void the promo rollover leg that dies early, only the one that was about to cash, soccer books get real precious about admin changes

Yeah same, soccer books void for dumb venue swaps. Had one die while i was in live dealer, same day too

Honestly the part that stings is these voids NEVER seem to show up when youve got a dead ticket, only when soccer finally lands and they find some admin reason to scrub it. Part of me is salty cos this is exactly why i drift back to poker, at least the bad beat happens in the open.

Yeah this is the same cheap rulebook energy as Live Dealer glitches, minute anything changes they act like the original market died. Across town and same day should not blow up a soccer ticket, pretty weak stuff!!!
