teaser push rules

Had a buddy last night claiming his teaser bet pushed one leg but he still got the payout on the others, which honestly sounded weird to me. I always thought if you push on any teaser leg, the whole thing either drops a line or just pays out less, but definitely doesn't get counted as a win. We were watching the last leg and it hit right on the number, so now we can't agree if that's the same as a loss or if it just kinda voids that leg out and you still collect.

Anyone else run into this? I'm not talking about straight parlays, just teasers specifically. Seems like every book handles it a bit different and nobody at my local spot can give me a straight answer. I’d hate to think I’m out here missing out on wins just cause I’m not double-checking the rules. There’s gotta be some consistency, right? At least with slot machines you know what to expect - even if it's just your wallet getting lighter.

Yeah nah, your buddy probably got the teaser reduced a leg, not some magic free win lol. That’s the part people always butcher. On most books a push in a teaser just drops it down, so 3-team becomes 2-team, 2-team becomes basically no action or a way smaller payout depending on house rules. It is absolutely not the same as a loss, but it damn sure isn’t a full win either lmao. And no, there’s not some clean consistency across books, that’d be too easy/too cheap for them!!! Always check the graded slip, not drunk guy logic.

Plain, sure, till roulette eats an orphans bet in 30 seconds. Teasers are worse though. One push and books act cute as hell.
