bovada player points prop used different stat source than league app

So last night I had a player points over bet for an NBA game and I was tracking it using the league’s official app. Looked like I was good, but after the game, my bet was graded as a loss. Turns out the book used a totally different stat source and it didn’t match what the app had by 1 point. Pretty annoying since I always check the main app and assumed that’s what everyone goes by.

This isn’t the first time I’ve seen funky stat discrepancies but it’s never cost me money before. Kinda makes me wonder how often this happens, especially with crypto books that just say “official stats provider” with no real details. I try not to sweat the small stuff, but it feels kinda rigged when they grade props using a source that’s not super public.

Do you guys cross-check stats anywhere else or just trust the league app too?
