sportsbook says my account is recreational only now and max stake is tiny

so i logged in to do my usual thing and got the “recreational only” tag slapped on my account. max bet is now the price of a gas station sandwich. i guess hammering promo bets too often wasn’t sneaky enough, or maybe they finally noticed my 7-8 hour blackjack sessions. i mean, it’s not like i’m taking the house down one chip at a time, but it stings when the software just points at you and says “nah, we’re good.”

does anyone know if these limits ever get lifted, or am i stuck forever in baby stake purgatory? i’d almost prefer a straight ban so i could cross it off my list. any secret handshake i’m missing, or just time to focus on the next promo elsewhere?

Honestly i don’t think the win size is the thing, it’s the pattern. I’ve had books leave me alone dumping on slots like an idiot, then get twitchy over the neat little promo cadence and 7 hour blackjack marathons, that “recreational only” tag reads more like behavior scoring than fear of your edge

Nah, the promo hammering matters way more than the marathon lol. I’ve seen dudes spam dumb low-vol Slots between bets and still get kneecapped fast!!! “Recreational” is just PR fluff lmao

The promo bets probably didn’t help tbh. Some books apparently flag certain betting patterns pretty quickly.

Yeah, sportsbooks can reduce max stakes based on their own risk rules, so unfortunately there isn't really a universal way to get it lifted.

Live Dealer hours can trigger it too, not just promos. Seen limits stay for YEARS, that's the ugly part.

I’d probably contact support first and ask if the restriction is temporary. At least then you’ll know where you stand.

I’ve seen people say limits can sometimes get reviewed, but honestly it seems really dependent on the sportsbook.
