mgm blackjack says hand was refunded but bonus progress went backwards

so i was playing online and right in the middle of a hand it crashes. when i log back in it says the hand was "refunded", which is whatever, i didn’t lose the bet but i didn’t win anything either. but then i look at my promo tracker and it’s like my bonus progress actually went backwards. not just stopped, literally lost a chunk of what i already had. i’m trying to figure out if that’s some glitch or if they just clawed back a bunch of promo credit because of the voided hand. feels off because the bet was real, i sat and played for real dollars, just didn’t get the outcome.

anyone else ever have this happen or know if this is standard?

I've had a refunded hand before, but I don't remember my wagering progress actually going backwards. That sounds more like a tracker issue than the refund itself.

If the progress went backward, it’s probably worth having support take a closer look.

Yeah, I’ve seen promo math get “reconciled” hours later after a crash, which is corpo-speak for lol we moved the goalposts. I chased that stuff once instead of just playing straight, and honestly it’s why crypto casinos still tempt me, salty as that sounds.

Yeah, this part where people act like a refunded hand should still count for promo progress, I don't buy that. Annoying, yes. Weird, not really. Most of these casino bonus trackers are held together with tape and bad bookkeeping, and if the hand gets voided/refunded they roll back the wagering contribution too, sometimes hours later, sometimes in a dumb lump so it looks like they stole something. I messed this up myself once, thought I was close to clearing and then one disconnect wiped a chunk off the tracker. The real issue isn't that it reversed, it's that they never explain it cleanly in the promo terms or the game log and then support talks in circles. Standard enough, just sloppy as hell.
