bonus max bet changed while i was still wagering or maybe i missed it

So I was working through a bonus, pretty straightforward terms at the start, max bet was clearly listed. I noticed midway through my play that the info page on the site now shows a different max bet for bonus funds, but I never saw an update notice or anything. I always check the T&Cs before and after claiming a bonus, so now I'm second-guessing myself. Is it common for sites to change their max bet limits while people are still wagering, or did I just overlook it somehow? Kind of worried it might affect my cashout if I went over without knowing. Has anyone else run into this or had a cashout denied because of a sudden rule switch?
