casino declined my withdrawal because deposit method was closed by bank

so i tried to cash out from this spot i’ve been playing at, and they knocked back my withdrawal cause my card was closed out by my bank a few weeks ago. now support wants me to deposit again with a working method before i can get any winnings. seems weird but i guess they want “proof of ownership” or whatever. really not feeling like giving them another dime just to maybe get my money.

has anyone else hit this snag? is it just a jump-through-hoops thing or am i getting soft-locked here? wondering if it’s actually worth pushing or i should just stick to live dealer games i can walk away from without a headache.
