Rake cap question?

so i'm mostly on the slots or live dealer, but i jump on the poker tables sometimes when the slots are cold. got a question about the rake cap at the tables - does it really change much depending on stakes? seems like sometimes i'm losing a lot just to the rake itself, especially on lower stakes games where the pot barely gets going. i thought the cap was supposed to stop the rake from just eating you alive, but it feels like it still takes a chunk out, maybe just 'cause the pots are smaller.

do folks here think higher stakes end up being better value in terms of rake, or am i just missing something? i don’t mind switching it up if it actually makes a difference. would love to hear what everyone’s noticed in their games. do you actually factor in the rake cap when you pick what stakes to play?

Honestly the first thing I’d ask is what room you’re on, because some places hide the real damage in promo drops and slow-dealt junk, same as those live casinos with potato streams. What’s the actual cap and bad beat drop there?

Nah, room isnt even the first cut for me lol, table rules and lineup are. Ive sat in the same client, same cap, one soft higher-stakes game printed and the nitty cheap one bled me dry. Same thing in Blackjack, bad players matter more than the hd stream crap!!!

Yeah, lower stakes get chewed up worse. Live dealer blackjack limits feel cleaner tbh, and yeah i'm a little salty about it

Yeah, the missed bit is the cap only matters in pots that actually reach it. At micros the number on the sign is basically theatre. Most hands never get there, so the % hurts more. I'm honestly a bit jealous if your games are even big enough to notice it.

Yeah lol, low stakes rake is just the house nibbling your ankles every hand. If that bugs you, play Roulette instead and lose FAST like a grown man 😅 BRUTAL
