casino says my free spins win capped at $50 but promo email never mentioned cap

Hit a bonus on some free spins I got from a promo email and thought I was about to treat myself to the fanciest takeout in town. Ended up hitting $160 total, then go to cash out and suddenly the cashier screen tells me I'm capped at $50 from the promo. Never saw anything about a cap in the actual promo email, just the usual fine print about playthrough.

Tried chatting with support, but they just repeat the cap is "standard." Never mentioned it when they spammed my inbox. I’m used to all the weird hoops, but I always look for the hooks before playing and this one feels buried deeper than my car keys. My ego can take losing but I hate when I lose to fine print, not the odds.

Anyone else get hit with surprise caps on wins from free spins? Did the casino make it right or am I destined to be the king of the $50 max cashout crew?
