played book of dead for promo and later got told it was excluded provider

so i went for a slot promo and naturally picked book of dead since it's my old comfort pick, spun through the whole bonus, and then only later did i get a message saying "oh, sorry, that's an excluded provider." didn't see it in the terms at all, or maybe it was buried somewhere, but there was nothing flagged when i started. i'm used to more transparency from poker or live tables, so this feels weird. do they just not code it so you can't play excluded games? i get if people try to stretch promos, but if the system lets you play and doesn't flag it, feels like a trap. just trying to figure out if this is standard, or if others have gotten burned on similar slot exclusions or stealthy terms. i'm thinking next time i might skip these promos altogether unless it’s super clear.

Nah, the “they can’t code it” part is what i’d push on. They absolutely can. Books block promo odds, location, even dumb same-game combos in real time. I work around enough busted software to know when something is impossible and when it’s just cheaper not to fix. Slots getting allowed first and disqualified later feels VERY intentional to me. Had one voided after 200+ spins once and that was the day i stopped treating promos like free money.

The frustrating part is finding out after you've already finished the wagering. There should be a clear warning before you start spinning.

They can block it, they just do the promo check after. Poker clients usually dont pull that weird shit

They can block it. They usually don't. Live Dealer promos are cleaner.

yeah, they can code it, plenty just don't bother because the bonus engine and the game lobby are separate messes. poker is cleaner on this stuff, slots get checked after the fact way too often and it's tired
