why do some live dealer rooms have completely dead chat

Some live dealer rooms just feel like walking into a library, while others are always buzzing. I’ve noticed especially on the blackjack and baccarat tables, there are times where literally no one says a word, even when the dealer asks questions or tries to get a reaction after a big hand. Is it just the time of day, or are more people just tuning out the chat completely? I kind of get it since a lot of us are just focused on the game or maybe even multi-tabling, but it does make things less social than I expected.

I wonder if people prefer it that way because it limits distractions or maybe they’ve seen too much nonsense in the chat before. I do respect folks who keep it chill and stay focused, but it almost makes the live aspect pointless if no one is actually interacting. Does anyone here stick around for the chat or are you just there for the cards? I always end up lurking just to keep things calm on my end.
