Possible relationship between zero and changes of state in the sequence

Hi everyone. I’ve been observing different kinds of behavior in roulette for quite some time, and I wanted to share one of the lines of study I’ve been following to see whether anyone has noticed something similar or has any observations that might relate to it.

My interest is not so much in zero as an isolated number, nor in simply trying to predict when it will appear. What interests me more is the context that develops before zero appears and what happens to that context afterward.

I’ve been noticing that, before some zero hits, certain conditions at the table may begin to show some degree of concentration, imbalance, or relationship with one another. After zero appears, those same relationships do not always continue in the same way: some remain, some weaken, some reverse, and others seem to reorganize into a different configuration.

Because of that, I’ve started to think of zero more as a reference point within a sequence than as a signal by itself.

The question I’m trying to study is this: does zero simply appear in the middle of a dynamic that was already developing, or are there certain contexts in which its appearance occurs close to a transition from one state to another?

I’m not looking at only one specific streak or one single characteristic. I’m more interested in seeing how several conditions interact at the same time within the same stretch of play, and whether certain configurations tend to appear again under similar circumstances.

I also want to make it clear that, for now, I consider this an observation under study, not a rule or a predictive claim. What interests me is precisely to see which parts remain consistent as the sample grows, which parts disappear, and which relationships may actually be meaningful.

Also, the behavior around zero is only one of the lines I’ve been following. During the process, other relationships between sequences have started to appear, and some of them seem to connect with one another. A few have even made me reconsider how I was interpreting certain behaviors at the beginning.

If anyone has observed something similar—whether around zero or at other points in a sequence—or remembers any concept, study, analytical method, or personal experience that might be related, I’d be very interested to hear it. The idea is to broaden the perspective and compare observations, because some connections may become clearer when several phenomena are considered together rather than in isolation.

Zero isn't a transition marker at all. What exactly counts as a "state" in your notes?

Fair question. I should clarify one thing first: I’m not claiming that zero is a transition marker, nor that zero causes a change in the sequence. That would be a much stronger claim than what I’m actually investigating.

By “state,” I mean the combination of several observable conditions within a given stretch of the sequence, rather than any single pattern by itself. For example, the relative balance or imbalance of certain categories, the presence and length of particular runs or repetitions, and how several of those conditions occur together at that point.

What I’m interested in is comparing the configuration that exists before a zero with the one that develops afterward, and then asking whether similar changes occur just as often around ordinary non-zero reference points.

If the same type of change appears with similar frequency around other reference points, then zero has no special significance in that respect. If a consistent difference remains after applying the same criteria to both, then that difference would be worth studying more closely.

So at this stage, zero is a reference point in the analysis, not a presumed cause or confirmed transition marker.

every time i tracked this i ended up with a notebook full of nothing, zero just lands whenever it wants

understand what you mean, but I should clarify that I’m not starting from zero on this. I already have a fair amount of observations and recorded cases behind the idea.

I’m not trying to use zero to predict when it will land. What I’ve been doing is comparing the structure around it: how several conditions behave before and after, and whether certain relationships appear repeatedly under similar circumstances.

At this point, what I’m mainly looking for is independent material that can help me compare, challenge, or refine what I already have.

So if anyone has tracked something similar, or has data, methods, examples, or even a different interpretation that could be compared with mine, I’d be very interested to see it.
