cashout tax weird

So I noticed last time I cashed out, there was this random withholding on my winnings, kind of a tax but not exactly clear how they came up with the amount. I’m used to the usual process where you report everything yourself, but this was just sliced right off before it even hit my account. Been doing this a while and never had it show up this way. Is this something new, or just certain sites or banks starting to crack down? Anyone else getting clipped like this lately?

Yeah i got clipped once cashing poker, thought it was my bank lol. Turned out the site just changed payout rules on me.

Yeah that’s usually site/payment rail specific, not some new universal thing lmao. Had one cashout get shaved once, next one was normal.

Not new. I got nicked on a slots cashout once. Bank side, I think.

Nah lol i doubt it’s some big new bank crackdown, sounds way more like the payout processor doing goofy bookkeeping and calling it “tax.” had a live dealer blackjack cashout get shaved like that once, support acted mysterious as hell lmao like bro just say it’s a fee 😒

Maybe not new, but yeah some books do it now, especially on bigger Sports Betting hits. Banks dont usually slice it first lol.
