"no one says a word" at a live table? Was it one of those dead quiet rooms with the Live Dealer feed blaring in back?
Table froze right when the river hit and I was sitting there with top two pair, pretty much counting the chips already. After a few seconds everything unfroze, but my hand was already folded. No time out warning or anything, it just kicked me out of the pot and someone else raked it in. Never had that happen before, and now I'm wondering if I missed something obvious or if it's just a random tech glitch. My connection seemed fine for everything else and chat kept rolling in the background. Anyone else run into this and figure out what the cause was? I don't want to end up passing on a monster again just because of a system freeze.
Had a weird experience with support recently that’s making me rethink my overall trust in casino help desks. Tried to get clarity on a slot malfunction and the answer just felt copy-pasted. I kept asking if someone had actually looked at my play log and kept getting the same generic replies. Maybe it’s just bad training or maybe they’re swamped, but it definitely didn’t inspire confidence. I usually skip most “big win” offers and stick to low-volatility slots or live dealer, since I like being able to track outcomes and have some kind of paper trail. But now I’m wondering if it even matters when the response is always a template. I’m definitely rethinking how much I want to risk if I’m not sure I’ll get real help if something goes sideways. Does anyone else try to ask technical stuff and just get pushed off? Maybe I’m too picky but I don’t see the point of playing if you can’t trust the backup.
Live dealer did that to me too.
I keep seeing these promos talking about "25x rollover" or "35x playthrough" and it just doesn't click for me how this actually works. I mostly play slots and sometimes dabble in live dealer, but most of the time I just stick with low-risk bets or pass if something seems tricky. For these bonuses, do they mean 25x the bonus itself, the deposit, or both? And does it matter if you’re playing slots or a live dealer game? Half the time I can’t tell if I’m accidentally breaking some term and the bonus gets voided anyway. Anyone else just skip the promos altogether because the rollover rules are too convoluted? Is there a reliable way to track rollover progress, or do you have to keep your own notes?
Tried it a few times but can’t say I’ve made it all the way without messing up somewhere. Live dealer is a bit easier for me to track since it’s not as fast as the regular tables, but there’s always something - distraction from people chatting, dealer chatting, or just losing the count when a big chunk of small cards drops. Not sure how people stay locked in for six or eight decks without losing count once. The worst is when you think you got it, feeling confident, but then realize two hands later that you’re off by a couple and start second guessing every count. Makes me question if anyone can really do it consistently, outside of the movies or those expert teams. I guess the risk is there if you even look like you’re counting too. Has anyone here actually tracked the true count from the first shuffle all the way to the end of the shoe without an error? How do you do it without losing your mind?
Mostly risk tables, not principle. Same reason Live Dealer vanishes too.
Seems like every time I’ve watched live poker or tried to figure out hand histories, the people in late position always rake in the chips. I get that you’re supposed to have an advantage acting last, but it almost looks like it’s not even close. Like people who get the button or near the end get free chips thrown their way compared to early spots. I label all the positions on my notes, but still forget what to do with them half the time. When I play slots, it never matters where you sit, so this position thing makes me scratch my head. I usually prefer things where it’s not so much about what seat you get, but clearly in poker, folks have the odds swinging just from where they sit. Maybe I just don’t see the risk right. Curious how the numbers really break down, since it looks huge from what I see.
I always hear folks say the best way to grind out a consistent poker income is to stick to cash games, low stakes no-limit hold'em mostly. The argument is you can control your swings a bit more than in tournaments, avoid the crazy variance, and rack up small but steady wins. Makes sense in theory but then I look around and see the tables getting tougher, regs everywhere, and most folks seem to be breaking even or worse. Not to mention the endless hours and tilt risk. On the other hand, sit and gos used to be a big thing for grinders. People say they’re "solved" now or just not worth the time with the small prize pools. Some claim PLO cash is juicier, but I just picture bankrolls going up in flames when variance hits. I’ve mostly stuck to slots and live dealer games since at least you know your house edge and can label risk clearly, but poker always seemed murkier for steady profit. Curious what the real grinders here have seen lately with consistency.
Live Dealer too?
