account linked to another one but i only logged in at hotel wifi

Got hit with this annoying flag saying my account's tied to another user, but all I did different was log in while staying at a hotel. I only have my main account - never used a VPN, never even thought about making a second one. Support says it's because of "shared IP activity" and won’t go further. I didn't even use the public lobby computers, just my own phone and laptop.

Anyone run into this before? Is this something that happens often just from using hotel wifi?

Hotel wifi gets blamed for everything short of bad weather. On crypto casinos, device fingerprinting is usually the gremlin. I had a plain old Brave browser plus a translation extension kick off a review in 14 minutes, and my home fiber IP never changed once.

Poker room clipped me for Firefox once. Miserable!!!

Seen roulette lobbies flag webview on hotel captive portals. Same phone, 9 minutes later, review.

Yeah, and it’s maddening. I got that bounce just from phone to laptop in one night, same room, same me. Roulette apps act genius, then support pastes nonsense and calls it security.

Yep. Hotel wifi gets Online Casinos twitchy because fifty strangers hit one IP by breakfast. Lazy fraud flag, calm little machine doing dumb work.

Hotel wifi, sure, but poker app open too on that phone or nah?!

Nah, poker app probably isn't the magic tripwire lol. A lot of crypto casinos run cheap third-party risk checks, and those things flag boring stuff like rushed geo/KYC mismatches way before some random app.

Holiday Inn wifi is enough. Had a sports betting app get prickly just from phone hotspot once.

Yeah, hotel wifi can trip it. I got nailed once from a casino hotel, and slots support acted dumb for days.

yeah ive seen this and tbh i dont even think the hotel part is the whole story half these places mash together device fingerprint stuff with location wobble and call it linked. i had one lock me after 14 hands of blackjack and a phone to laptop switch in like 20 minutes which is just dumb
