Dealer mistake paid wrong?

I was at the roulette table and tossed chips around, keeping track as usual, and the dealer paid me out more than I won. I didn’t catch it right away but later realized the mistake when going over my messy chicken-scratch notes. I’m wondering how y’all handle this. If it’s a live dealer and you catch it after the fact, do you say something or just chalk it up to the game’s swing? Has anyone ever had the casino come back and ask for the money after a dealer overpays?
