betonline tennis handicap voided after retirement even tho rules page looked different.

so i had a tennis handicap bet last night, player retires halfway through the second set, thought it was gonna stand since they’d finished more than a set and the lines on the rules page seemed to say as long as one set’s done, handicaps stick. logged in today and it’s just voided, whole stake back, like nothing happened. never sure if i’m reading too much into the T&C but why have all those lines if the rules end up being “if anyone retires, void everything”.

it’s not a crazy amount of money or anything, just annoying when you’re trying to keep a routine and play things by the book. i don’t really chase live betting or crazy parlays, just steady system stuff and try to build up slow. does everyone else get hit by these voids on tennis? is it just the books covering themselves or am i missing something that makes those rules even worth having? maybe i should stick to spinning slots where the only “retirement” is when you run out of credits.
